A local health professional requested a MZ6 able to be used "all day long" with constant results, without having to worry about battery's voltage.
A wall plug supply was not advisable.
We provided this MZ6 with the excellent booster-regulator used on the MZ3b, giving a steady 10.8V from beguinning (9.5V) to end (6V) of the battery's life.
If you doesn't want the voltage of your zapper drive the efficiency of your MZ6, this MZ6_CVS is for you!
This adds too an extra $27.00 to the cost of your MZ6 zapper.
Still a bargain, compared to another popular zapper (UZ), with only one fixed frequency, no "well connected output" indicator, and an illegal power supply connected to the line (110V/220V)
What this 10.8V Booster-Regulator means to you?
This means a constant power supply of 10.8V, whatever the battery voltage (from 9.5V for a brand new Alkaline battery, to 6.0V at the end of its life).
Many uses, as plate zapping, require 8.9 volts minimum at the end of the session, and the normal battery reach this limit after only 15% of battery time life. "Normal" zappers needs in this use to replace battery quite often.
Safety first ! This circuit permits a powerful and constant zapping, from beginning to end, without any need to be connected to an outside battery eliminator (itself connected to the 110/220VAC power line !)
This adds too to your freedom : You can use your zapper anywhere, inside or outdoor
